Host Employees Get Their Hands Dirty for Clean Water
10/10/2017
On Wednesday, September 13, 34 employees from Host Hotels & Resorts dedicated their time to restoring and improving the Potomac River’s lands and waters by volunteering with Potomac Conservancy, the region’s leading clean water advocate. Volunteers helped protect and restore healthy shorelines by removing litter, debris and trash from Fletcher’s Cove along the C&O Canal. Together, Host employees collected 32 bags of trash, totaling approximately 640 pounds. The clean-up event was organized and led by Host’s service team and Green Team.
Beyond volunteering, Host also made a donation to Potomac Conservancy, in addition to our previous contribution in support of Potomac Conservancy’s Growing Native program.
