Host Employees Lend a Hand So Others Might Eat
09/07/2017
In August, 30 employees from Host Hotels & Resorts volunteered with SOME (So Others Might Eat), an interfaith, community-based organization that helps the poor and homeless in Washington, D.C. by offering a variety of services, including providing food, clothing, housing, job training, counseling and health care. Volunteers helped prepare and serve a hot, nourishing lunch to over 300 disadvantaged guests at SOME’s Dining Room. Other volunteers helped sort food donations and packed 100 emergency food bags containing canned goods, pasta and rice.
In addition to lending a hand, Host employees also donated 15 boxes of canned foods and toiletry items to SOME, thanks to generous donations from our employees.
Host is proud to support SOME and continue our commitment to strengthening our local communities.
