For the first time, Host Hotels & Resorts participated in the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) released by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which rates workplaces on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) equality. The CEI rated over 900 of the nation’s largest businesses in the report. It specifically evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Our efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 75 percent ranking.
