Host Recognized as a Climate Change Leader by CDP and a Green Star by GRESB

As part of our commitment to corporate responsibility and our environmental, social and governance strategy, Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. submitted its sixth response to the CDP climate change questionnaire and fourth response to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
CDP:

Host has once again been recognized as a global leader for corporate action and strategies on climate change with a performance band “A.”

Host achieved a position on CDP’s Climate A List. The Climate A List is comprised of 193 companies from around the world that have been identified as leading in their efforts and actions to reduce emissions and mitigate and combat climate change. Of the companies that participated in CDP’s climate change program this year, we are among the 9% that has been awarded an A grade for our performance.

Host once again achieved “Green Star” status, the highest possible designation based on score, which recognizes outstanding management and implementation of key sustainability issues.

Host ranked 2nd within our Hotels peer group of 9; 5th within the entire North America region of 66, and 66th out of 733 global GRESB respondents.

Host scored 82 out of 100. We scored above or tied our peer group average on 5 of 7 sustainability aspects including Risks & Opportunities, Policy & Disclosure and Management.

Host scored above our peer group average and global average on each of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors.
