On Thursday, March 8, 77 employees from Host Hotels & Resorts volunteered with Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable children and communities. This food packaging event was organized and led by Host’s service team comprised of employee volunteers across the company who pick our service events for the year.

Volunteers assembled nutritious meals consisting of rice, soy protein, dehydrated vegetables, vitamins and minerals, and then packed them into boxes. The packaged meals will be shipped to developing countries around the world to support school feeding programs and provide crisis relief.

In the end, Host prepared and donated over 15,000 packaged meals that will feed up to 90,000 people to support Rise Against Hunger’s humanitarian efforts!
