Employees Help Bring a Little Comfort to Foster Children
06/13/2019
On Wednesday, May 29, 18 employees volunteered at Comfort Cases in Rockville, MD to assemble backpacks filled with comfort and essential items for children to use in their first few days of entering the foster care system. Rather than carrying their belongings in a trash bag, Comfort Cases provides these children with a more dignified experience by giving them a bag to call their own, with items that will help ease the transition.
Host’s service team brought a donation of some of the organization’s most-needed items, including travel-sized toiletries, baby products and blankets. Volunteers assembled over 150 backpacks, packaged bags of toiletries and tied ribbons around new blankets.
