RICHARD E. MARRIOTT
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Marriott is the chairman of the board. In addition, he is chairman of the board of First Media Corporation, chairman and a director of the J. Willard Marriott and Alice S. Marriott Foundation, a director of the Richard E. and Nancy P. Marriott Foundation, and president and a trustee of Bridges from School to Work. Mr. Marriott also serves on the National Advisory Council of Brigham Young University. He previously served on the board of Marriott International, Inc., as a member of the Federal City Council, as former director and chair of the Polynesian Cultural Center, and as past president of the National Restaurant Association.
JAMES F. RISOLEO
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Risoleo joined our company in 1996 and has served as our president and chief executive officer since January 2017. Previously, he was executive vice president and managing director of European business activities, and in 2015, assumed leadership for all west coast investment activities in addition to Europe. He has also served as executive vice president and chief investment officer and as senior vice president for acquisitions. Prior to joining Host, Mr. Risoleo was vice president, development at Interstate Hotels Corporation and a senior vice president, commercial real estate at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. In addition, Mr. Risoleo is an executive board member and past-chair of Nareit, an executive committee member of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), a member of the U.S. Travel Association CEO Roundtable and a member of the Real Estate Roundtable.
JULIE P. ASLAKSEN
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Ms. Aslaksen has served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary since joining our company in 2019. Previous positions include vice president and general counsel at General Dynamics Information Technology; and staff vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at General Dynamics Corporation.
SOURAV GHOSH
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ghosh joined our company in 2009 and has served as chief financial officer since 2020. Previously, he served as executive vice president, strategy & analytics and as vice president, global business intelligence & portfolio strategy. Prior to joining Host, Mr. Ghosh held several positions at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including senior director of real estate investments and director of acquisitions & development. He currently serves on the board of directors at U.S. Travel Association; Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry; and a.k.a. Brands Holding Corp., where he serves as the audit chair.
MICHAEL E. LENTZ
Executive Vice President, Development, Design & Construction
Mr. Lentz joined our company in 2016 and has served as executive vice president, development, design & construction since 2019 and, previously, as managing director of global development, design & construction. Prior to joining Host, Mr. Lentz was senior vice president and head of global development for Las Vegas Sands Corp., a global gaming company; and vice president of project development at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he oversaw the development, design and construction of theme parks, timeshare and resort hotels.
JOSEPH C. OTTINGER
Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller
Mr. Ottinger joined our company in 1999 and has served as senior vice president and corporate controller since January 2021. Previously, he served as vice president, assistant controller and has held a series of positions with increasing financial reporting responsibilities within Host’s finance organization. Prior to joining Host, he worked as an auditor with Arthur Andersen, LLP.
MARI SIFO
Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Ms. Sifo joined our company in 2022 as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Previous positions include chief human resources and communications officer at SWM International; senior director human resources at CP Kelco; and other human resources leadership positions at Mondelez International, United Technologies Corporation and Owens Corning. She is a member of the Gartner Atlanta CHRO Governing Board and serves on the board of 21st Century Leaders, a non-profit that connects, transforms and inspires high school students.
NATHAN S. TYRRELL
Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer
Nathan S. Tyrrell joined our company in 2005 and has served as executive vice president and chief investment officer since 2017. Previously, he worked in our finance department before holding several leadership positions including executive vice president, investments; managing director, investments; and senior vice president, treasurer. Prior to joining Host Mr. Tyrrell worked in finance and development at the Rouse Company, a publicly traded REIT; and investment banking for Alex. Brown Realty, Inc. in Baltimore and London, focusing on real estate and mergers and acquisitions. He currently serves on the board of directors of the AHLA and is a member of AHLA’s Investment Roundtable.
