For Host’s annual holiday giving project, our service team partnered with Central Union Mission to help make the holidays a little brighter for less fortunate families in our local community. Central Union Mission provides comprehensive, transformational programs and services—including emergency housing, hot meals, medical care, workforce training and education, life skills classes, counseling and more—to homeless and underprivileged men, women and children in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

We sponsored over 65 at-risk local children whose families are struggling financially by purchasing items off their wish lists. On Tuesday, December 13, employees from every department across the company gathered together at a holiday party to wrap up    toys, games, books, bikes and other presents they donated, which were hand-delivered to Central Union Mission in Washington, D.C.

One of Host’s other community partners, Warrior Canine Connection—a local organization that provides therapy and connection to wounded warriors and veterans through training service dogs—joined us at the event, bringing two service dogs with them.

Additionally, Host made donations to both Central Union Mission and Warrior Canine Connection in support of their respective work and missions.
